About us - Milestone

Overview
Company history
The growth of the company, which was founded in 1962, is marked by a number of important milestones. In 1982, LEHMANN founds it's own manufacturing facility for plastic and zink die-cast components, under the name GOLDIN GmbH. GOLDIN manufactures products for LEHMANN and other sectors of industry with state-of the-art machinery.
After the border opened in 1990, LEHMANN also sets to work in eastern Germany. The basis is Moebelschlossfabrik Brandenburg, which was converted to a modern production facility.
Product range expansion
The simple Furniture locks originally produced were continually improved. Function, material and surface finish set market trends. 1978 sees the start of production of security cylinder locks for office Furniture. The concept is perfected through a process of constant improvement. Seen today as the market's leading range, it encompasses a variety of cylinder lock systems. It features different security levels and provides the capability of exchanging cylinder cores in the office Furniture industry, in the contract sector, in warehouse and production facilities, in switch cabinets and enclosures as well as in high-security containers in other areas of the market.

1996 marks the beginning of development work on electronic locking systems. These are launched two years later. They lay the foundation stone for developing different electronic locking system types employing infrared, wireless, transponder and RFID technology. A modular principle fosters the tailored use of forward-pointing technologies. Supplying all-in systems, LEHMANN enjoys the reputation of trendsetter in this segment of the market.
