Hi, would you like some advice? We will gladly help you.

Desk pedestals are a common type of office storage which feature multiple drawers and are typically found beneath a workstation or desktop. These are generally fitted with a central locking system, with one lock that locks and unlocks all drawers simultaneously. Such central locks are a convenient and cost-effective alternative to fitting each drawer with an individual lock.
Pedestal central locking systems traditionally feature a steel or aluminium lock bar (fitted with locking pins to block each drawer), which is operated by a single cylinder lock installed in the top drawer. The user turns the key and the lock lifts the bar so that the locking pins on the bar block the drawers in closed position; by turning the key in the other direction, the lock lowers the bar, releasing the drawers so that they can be opened.
The introduction of mobile work practices during the last years of the 20th century resulted in the introduction of mobile pedestals, which were no longer fixed to the frame of the desk but instead featured casters, allowing them to be moved about easily. Mobile pedestals could be pushed below the worksurface or next to the worksurface; some feature upholstered top panels so that they can even be used as impromptu guest seating next to a workstation.
It soon became apparent that mobile desk pedestals required a safety upgrade due to their tendency to topple over if several drawers were opened at the same time; tipovers could also occur if the pedestal was moved around while unlocked, as a small bump in the carpet could result in all drawers flying open simultaneously, shifting the centre of gravity of the pedestal outside of the surface area on which it stood.
To prevent tipovers of drawer units, Lehmann introduced SVS interlock to replace the old-style rigid locking bar. SVS Interlock not only provides central locking function for pedestal units, it also prevents more than one drawer being opened at any given time, ensuring the stability of the drawer unit and minimizing the potential risk of tipovers.
The use of interlock central locking has now been adopted as a standard feature by most reputable office furniture manufacturers to provide both security and safety for desk pedestals.
