SEAMLESS INTEGRATION INTO THE OLYMPUS WORKPLACE WITH ELECTRONIC LOCKER SOLUTIONS

In the state-of-the-art headquarters, locker systems equipped with 1,800 CAPTURA locks were installed and are centrally managed via the Lehmann Management Software (LMS), which is server-based and accessible through local clients. The objective of the project was to introduce a flexible and secure locker system for both the office area and the integrated in-house fitness studio, which is accessible to employees and external members. Existing encrypted employee transponders were integrated into the LMS and their functionality extended to ensure seamless management of access rights to all installed locker systems.

For Olympus, a modern locker solution with CAPTURA locks was developed, based on the Lehmann Management Software (LMS) and configured in shared-use mode. This implementation enables centralised, user-friendly management of access rights by facility management while providing maximum flexibility and security.
Access rights for lockers in both the office area and the fitness studio are efficiently managed via the Lehmann Management Software (LMS). Employees use the same transponder cards for building access as well as for the lockers in both areas.
The lockers are configured without fixed user assignments, allowing each user to select an available locker as needed. The office and fitness areas are set up as separate units, enabling users with authorisation for both areas to use one locker in each.
Authorised administrators can also use their smartphones to read lock status, user permissions, and battery levels, simplifying day-to-day facility operations.
External users of an additionally sublet floor use the same RFID transponder cards for building access but do not have access to the Olympus lockers. This targeted access restriction within the LMS ensures that the lockers are available exclusively to authorised Olympus employees. Conversely, the same applies to the fitness center: Olympus employees without a membership do not have access to the lockers in the fitness area.

This comprehensive solution enables Olympus to efficiently manage its locking systems, enhancing operational reliability and user convenience while significantly reducing the administrative workload for facility management.
